Research Areas: Glycobiology, functional genomics, cellular stress, neuroinflammation, glycan-lectin interactions

Dr. Kimberly Tsui received her B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UCLA and her PhD in Genetics from Stanford University. She trained in the lab of Andrew Dillin at UC Berkeley as a postdoctoral fellow, where she studied how the ER stress response influences cell surface glycosylation.

Dr. Tsui joined UGA as an Assistant Professor in the Center for Molecular Medicine and Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Fall 2026.
